Corel
and Vector Capital Sign Acquisition Agreement
Ottawa, Canada and San Francisco, CA - June 6, 2003 - Corel Corporation
(NASDAQ: CORL, TSX: COR) and Vector Capital Corporation today announced
that Corel Corporation ("Corel") and an affiliate of Vector
Capital Corporation ("Vector") have entered into a definitive
Acquisition Agreement (the "Agreement") providing for the
acquisition by Vector of all of the outstanding common shares of Corel
pursuant to a court-approved Plan of Arrangement (the
"Arrangement"). If the Arrangement is approved by the
court and the shareholders, Corel's shareholders will receive, subject to
the conditions of closing, US$1.05 in cash for each common share held
which will include all common shares which may become outstanding on the
exercise of options, warrants and other securities exercisable for,
convertible into or exchangeable for common shares. Upon the
completion of the Arrangement, Vector and its affiliates will own all of
the outstanding shares of Corel.

Oracle
to Launch Cash Tender Offer for PeopleSoft for $16 Per Share
Oracle Q4 Preliminary Earnings of 14 to 15 Cents Per Share
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., June 6 - Today, Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL)
announced that it will commence a cash tender offer to purchase all of the
outstanding shares of PeopleSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:PSFT) for $16 per share, or
approximately $5.1 billion. Separately, Oracle announced that it will meet
or exceed consensus earnings estimates for the fiscal fourth quarter.

SCO
Confirms Copyright Ownership of UNIX(R) and UnixWare(R)
Amendment to Asset Purchase Agreement Confirms Copyright Ownership
LINDON, Utah, June 6 - The SCO(R) Group (SCO) (NASDAQ:SCOX) , the owner of
the UNIX(R) operating system, today confirmed its previously stated
ownership of UNIX copyrights. As SCO has consistently maintained, all
rights to the UNIX and UnixWare technology, including the copyrights, were
transferred to SCO as part of the Asset Purchase Agreement between Novell
and SCO dated September 19, 1995. Any question of whether the UNIX
copyrights were transferred to SCO under the Asset Purchase Agreement was
clarified in Amendment No. 2 to the Asset Purchase Agreement dated October
16, 1996.

Corel
Provides Update on Discussions with Vector Capital
Ottawa, Canada - Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSX: COR) has announced
that, as previously reported on May 6, 2003, the Company continues to be
in discussions with Vector Capital Corporation with respect to a potential
transaction for the acquisition of Corel. As previously announced, Vector
Capital has the contractual right to make an offer to Corel's shareholders
to purchase all common shares at a price of US $1.10 and the Board of
Directors of Corel agreed to recommend such an offer provided that it
receives a fairness opinion.
